Addictions group

Creating Connection Addiction Support Group:

If you are thinking about quitting or cutting down on alcohol, drugs, food, video games, etc. consider joining us for an informative and insightful group experience. Your therapist Harlene Kundhal, RP(Q), RN, brings 7 years of nursing experience working in addictions and mental health helping people navigate sobriety. Harlene will work with you over six interactive group therapy sessions to provide support in cutting down or eliminating addictive substances or behaviours. Melissa Poliquin RP(Q) will be co-facilitating, bringing her knowledge working with vulnerable populations coordinating services to help them get back on their feet.

Together we will explore the origin of how addiction starts, why we keep using, creating safety in our lives, addressing grief/loss, releasing pain, identifying triggers, developing effective coping skills, and finding lost self-esteem/confidence. Difficult Relationships

Creating Connection Difficult Relationships Group:

Join us for an informative and insightful group experience to help you navigate challenges in intimate relationships, divorce, or breakups. Your therapists are Kevin Landry, RP(Q), who has worked extensively with couples and families, along with Harlene Kundhal, RP(Q), RN, who brings her experience working with couples and individual clients with addictions. We will work with you over six interactive group therapy sessions to help strengthen your ability to deal with your relationship challenges.

Together we will explore the personal impact of difficult relationships, effective communication strategies, setting healthy boundaries, and building new coping skills to foster improved self-esteem within yourself or within your relationship. Don’t miss out on this unique and helpful opportunity to receive guidance and support from experienced therapists and meet others who share similar goals and values.

Timmins Grief Group

Creating Connection Grief group:

A healing journey guided by experienced therapists Kaitlin Senkus RMFT, and Kelly Lamothe RSW. Over six interactive sessions, we’ll explore the profound emotions of grief and loss through the therapeutic power of art and other modalities. Together, we’ll embark on a path of self-discovery, healing, and support, creating a safe space for your unique journey through grief. Take the first step towards healing, connection, and self-expression in a nurturing and understanding space.

🎨 No art experience necessary, all materials provided.

Type of group: psychoeducational, support, art based

Location: Creating Connection, 192 Third ave, Timmins.

Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Participants: Maximum 8 participants and 2 facilitators.
